How I Caught the Triathlon Bug

I jumped on my first road bike at 9 years old and raced in some local youth events. I grew up watching my dad race bikes, but after a few races (and crashes), I moved on to soccer. Many years later, as a college rower, I was looking for a way to stay fit in the summer and wanted to get out of the boat and back on the bike. I registered for my first triathlon, 70.3 Eagleman, and was hooked. Triathlon allows me to push myself and offers a fun, active, and goal-oriented life. I love that the experience of racing and training can be shared with teammates, friends, and family.
