How I Caught the Triathlon Bug
Freshmen year of college I ran varsity cross-country at the University of Miami (Florida). After a frustrating season full of injuries I left “The U” and transferred to The College of William and Mary where surely the partying would be more intense. At W&M I joined the cycling club and started racing bikes. The following summer I figured I would give the triathlon thing a try (after all I could do 2 of the 3 sports involved). After being thoroughly humbled (and drinking gallons of water from the Potomac river) I was hooked (or maybe it was just the toxic water getting to my brain). Regardless triathlon has become an integral component of who I am. I love the challenge the sport brings and the relationships I have made training and racing are ones that will last a life-time.
