How I Caught the Triathlon Bug
During college, I always wanted to make the swim team at USNA but unfortunately never made it. Junior year arrived and I convinced the team captains on the triathlon team to let me try out at the inaugural Annapolis triathlon, my first olympic distance ever. I ended up finishing second overall out of the members on the team and thus were happy to have me join. From there, USNA won the Collegiate Nationals title in 2009 where I finished 5th overall and I have been hooked ever since. Olympic distances have always been my go to race and I have continued racing on the All Navy Triathlon team finishing among the top guys for the past 10 years. I am completely obsessed and might make the jump to longer distances one day, we shall see!
