How I Caught the Triathlon Bug

I played tennis for UNC Wilmington and picked up surfing while living at the beach in college, so I was already used to having a full athletic life when I moved to Boston for dental school. It was a natural progression to want to qualify for the Boston Marathon, and from there to attempt triathlons. My first sprint triathlon amazed me at how much there was to learn about my new sport! I knew immediately that becoming a top triathlete and making it to Kona would be my new passion that I would strive for every day. Since then I have been continually inspired by the welcoming community of vendors, sponsors, and fellow triathletes I have met along the way — no regrets!
